Joshua 24:9-11

⁹ Then Balak son of Zippor, king of Moab, arose and warred against Israel, and sent and called Balaam son of Beor to curse you.

¹⁰ But I would not listen to Balaam; therefore he blessed you; so I delivered you out of Balak’s hand.^(A)

¹¹ You went over the Jordan and came to Jericho; and the men of Jericho fought against you, as did the Amorites, Perizzites, Canaanites, Hittites, Girgashites, Hivites, and Jebusites, and I gave them into your hands.
